Storytellers stop off at Kempsey on Writers on Road tour

Byron Writers Festival is bringing its travelling literary festival to Kempsey tomorrow (Wednesday, 10 April) as part of its annual Writers on the Road tour.

Five acclaimed writers and storytellers will board the Storyboard bus and make stops in Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Nambucca Heads, Kempsey, Port Macquarie and Taree from 8-12 April.

On-board the tour will be best-selling young adult author Melaina Faranda, illustrator extraordinaire Tony Flowers, Australian Slam Poetry finalist Anna Stewart, powerful Arakwal oral storyteller Delta Kay, and writer and passionate educator Zacharey Jane.

The tour will stop in at Kempsey Shire Library at 5:00pm on Wednesday, 10 April and feature a panel discussion, Q&A session and meeting with the authors. There will also be books for sale.

A writing masterclass - Crime, Romance and the Tools Every Writer Needs - with local authors Fiona MacArthur and Jaye Ford is also being held at the library on Thursday, 11 April from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
