Strike Force Peppin, man charged at Orange

A man will face court today and will be charged with over 90 offences for break and enters throughout the Western Region last year.

Between February and June 2019, a number of service stations, clubs, shops and homes where broken into at villages and towns within the Central West, Orana Mid-Western and Chifley Police Districts.

Strike Force Peppin was established by Central West Police District to investigate break and enter offences throughout the Central West.

Following inquiries, about 10.55am yesterday (5 Februay 2020), officers attached to Central West Target Action Group arrested a 20-year-old at Orange Police Station.

The man was charged with break, enter and steal and steal motor vehicle offences and was formally refused bail today (6 February 2020) at Orange Local Court.

The man will appear at the same court on Monday 10 February 2020.
