Stroud skaters can get rolling

MidCoast Council

Work is complete on the replacement of Stroud's skate park, providing a brand new facility within Stroud's sporting hub for skateboarders.

A new or rejuvenated skate park has been on the Stroud community's wish list for some time, and thanks to funding allocated from the Duralie Community Fund, it is now a reality.

The new skate park is constructed of polished concrete and include features such as hipped transition, flatbanks, small fun box, whoopty-do, roll-in and grind ledges.

The Stroud skate park complement's Bulahdelah's new skate park, which was completed early this year. An opening event for Bulahdelah's park will soon be held.

The next project for Stroud Showground will be a new club house, change rooms and amenities building for users of the main arena. That $275,000 project is funded under the NSW Crown Lands Showground Stimulus scheme, and should commence later this year.
