Around midnight on the 17th November 2020 one building at the Hobart Waste Management Centre, South Hobart was believed to be deliberately set on fire. Information received from a member of the public led police to arresting a youth who has been charged in relation to this and other matters, they are also assisting police in the ongoing investigation.
The damaged is believed to believed to be in excess of $200,000.
The building was believed to be unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Police are seeking information from any person who may have information relating to this matter and urge them to contact police on 131444 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
