Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Services are on scene at a large structure fire in the main street of Tennant Creek.
Local fire crews were alerted to a fire at the back of the supermarket on Patterson Street around 7:25pm.
A large fire at the rear of the building was well underway when crews arrived.
Fire fighters remain on scene to control and contain the fire.
Community members are advised to avoid the area where possible, and give way to emergency workers and vehicles.
No further information in regards to the cause of the fire or the condition of the building is available at this stage.
