Sudden Death Appeal At Nathan

Upper Mount Gravatt detectives are appealing for public assistance to help identify a body following a non-suspicious death at Nathan in Brisbane.

Shortly before 1pm on 7 August, officers were called to Toohey Forest following reports a body had been located.

A post-mortem has deemed the man's death as not suspicious, however detectives are appealing for public assistance to help identify him.

The man is described as aged in his twenties, approximately 175cm to 190cm tall, slim build with a fair complexion, short brown/red hair and a stubbled beard.

The man did not have any tattoos or other unique identifying features.

He was found wearing a long sleeve dark shirt, blue shorts and black shoes.

The man was not in possession of any form of identification when he was located.

It is believed the man may have been sleeping rough in the Salisbury area prior to his death.

Detectives have released CCTV footage as part of their appeal.

The vision shows a man attending a business in a Toohey Road, Salisbury shopping centre around 10am on 9 July.

While police have not received any missing reports that match, they are asking the local community to check on family members or friends who may match the description.

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV footage or has information to assist the identification process is urged to contact police.
