Police are investigating after a 61-year-old woman was located deceased at a Crows Nest residence shortly before 2pm on Monday January 31.
A crime scene has been established while inquiries are made into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Police are awaiting results of an autopsy to determine the 61-year-old's cause of death, and are currently looking into all avenues of enquiry.
State Emergency Services volunteers are assisting officers in a search of the area.
