Police are investigating the sudden death of a 66-year-old man in Torquay on 7 January.
Emergency services were called just before 5pm on 6 January outside a Boat Harbour Drive address, following reports the man was located conscious but unresponsive and with a head injury.
He was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital, where he died on 7 January.
A crime scene has since been declared at the Boat Harbour Drive address and investigations into the circumstances leading up to the incident remain ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to any witness or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
