Sunshine Coast police close drug trafficking operation

Police have closed a four-month long drug trafficking investigation on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Police say.

Operation Papa Magellan culminated today with the officers from the Sunshine Coast Tactical Crime Squad executing a search warrant at a Yaltara Street an address in Wurtulla linked to the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG).

During the search, police located a large amount of cash and drugs including cannabis, cocaine and steroids.

So far, a 32-year-old Wurtulla man has been charged with ten offences including three counts of trafficking drugs and one count each of possession dangerous drugs and possessing proceeds of trafficking dangerous drugs.

During the operation, around $20,000 has been seized along with drugs estimated to have had a street value of around $100,000.
