Supporting thinkers and learners to shape Melbourne's future

The City of Melbourne is backing the city's vibrant knowledge economy with $200,000 to encourage businesses, innovators and entrepreneurs to come together and share ideas for the future.

​Council has doubled the amount of funding for this year's Business Event Sponsorship Program - enabling more conferences, workshops, seminars and other in-person events to be held in the municipality.

Grants of up to $10,000 will be available for individuals and organisations delivering events that encourage office workers into the city, support networking and collaboration, and enhance business development.

This year's program will have an increased focus on innovation in life sciences, finance including fintech and funds management, information and communications technology, energy and environment.
