Supporting touring of art exhibitions across regional Australia

Nine projects will share in more than $1 million from the Visions of Australia program to re-engage communities across Australia and to provide important cultural and economic stimulus to regional venue centres.

Australia's creative and cultural sector is being supported in its recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than $1 million flowing from round 11 of the Visions of Australia program.

Nine exhibitions touring to venues in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, the Northern Territory Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria share in the funds under the latest round, which will help re-engage communities across Australia, providing important cultural and economic stimulus for regional centres.

As restrictions continue to ease, the program will provide valuable support in welcoming audiences back to arts and cultural events, increasing the opportunity to experience quality exhibitions that would otherwise not be able to travel to regional areas.

Each financial year the program provides $2.4 million for eligible organisations to develop and tour exhibitions of cultural material of artistic, historic, scientific, design or social significance across Australia.

Round 12 of the Visions of Australia program opens 9.00am Monday 8 February 2021 and closes at 5.00pm Friday 5 March 2021.
