Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire at Maitland last night, NSW Police say.
About 10pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a building on High Street, after reports it was well alight.
Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze.
Officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command attended and were told two males were seen in the area at the time.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
