Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman inside a residence at The Gap this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 7am, police were called to an address in Jillinda Place following reports of a disturbance.
On arrival, officers located the body of a woman inside the residence.
Police have declared a crime scene with forensic officers and detectives remaining at the address.
Initial investigations indicate that the death is suspicious and investigations are continuing.
Police are appealing for any members of the public who were in the vicinity of Jillinda Place this morning and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
They are also asking for anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV in the area to come forward.
