Suspicious Fire Appeal, Manly

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two males and seeking additional vision as part of ongoing investigations into a suspicious boat fire in Manly on 28 September.

Shortly after 3am, two males entered a marina on Royal Esplanade and unlawfully entered a parked van before walking down a floating dock towards vessels.

About 3.45am, police and emergency services were called to a marina on Royal Esplanade following reports a boat was on fire.

No injuries were reported, and the two males had already left the scene prior to police arrival.

Investigations indicate one of the males may have also unlawfully entered a boat at the same marina around 4.30am on 27 September.

The first male is described as Caucasian, with a tattoo on his right calf. He was last seen wearing a dark beanie with a pompom, a dark long-sleeved top, slides, a dark coloured backpack, and light-coloured shorts.

The second male was last ween wearing a green hoodie, dark coloured pants, slides, and a dark coloured cap.

Investigations are ongoing.

The males, or anyone with relevant information or vision, including dashcam or CCTV, are encouraged to contact police.
