Suspicious fire at a home in Christie Downs, SA

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a home in Christie Downs early this morning, according to SA Police.

At 3.15am, Tuesday 14 November, police and fire crews were called to Jerome Street after reports that a molotov cocktail had been thrown at a house.

Police and MFS crews attended and found accelerant had started a small fire on the tiled roof with a second bottle thrown through the front window of the home. The second bottle thankfully did not ignite and there were no injuries. Police report finding a third bottle with accelerant in the front yard area.

Witnesses report seeing a small white car, possibly a Toyota Corolla leaving the street shortly after the fire started.

Crime Scene Investigators have been notified and will attend to examine the scene this morning.
