Suspicious fire at Sellicks Beach, SA

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire at Sellicks Beach this morning where a home was destroyed, according to SA Police.

Just after 1.30am, Thursday 7 December, police and emergency services were called to Sellicks Beach Road after a neigbour reported that a house was on fire.

Fire crews battled the blaze for almost two hours before it was contained but the house was completely destroyed. Thankfully no one was home at the time of the incident and there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire has been deemed suspicious and Fire Cause Investigators have been called in to examine the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Sellicks Beach Road is currently closed between the Esplanade and Casablanca Place and police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
