Police are investigating a suspicious building fire at a Burleigh Heads industrial estate this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 7.45am, police were advised of smoke issuing from a shed at Rothcote Court.
Emergency services attended and extinguished the fire.
The structure sustained significant smoke damage and minor flame damage.
Once the area was deemed safe, a crime scene was established and detectives accessed the building.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a hydroponic cannabis laboratory was operating in the roof of the rented shed.
Investigations are ongoing.
