Police are investigating following a suspicious fire at a shopping centre in Shailer Park this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations suggest at around 1:30pm a fire started in the clothing section of a department store.
The store was evacuated and the fire subsequently extinguished by the internal sprinkler system.
No one was injured as a result of the fire however a quantity of property was damaged.
Police have declared a crime scene and detectives and forensic officers have begun investigating the incident.
