Suspicious fire in Shalvey

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Shalvey early this morning, NSW Police say.

Shortly before 5am today emergency services were called to a home in Sidwell Avenue.

Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW were able to extinguish the blaze.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.

Forensic investigators examining the scene of the fire, have this afternoon discovered two bullet holes in the premises. Police believe these may have been fired at the house about 1am today.

Investigators from Mt Druitt Local Area Command have appealed for anyone with information about suspicious activity in the area to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
