Suspicious fire in Willmot

Police are appealing for information following a house fire at Willmot last night.

About 10.50pm (Sunday 14 October 2018) emergency services were called to a house on Captain Cook Drive, following reports of a fire.

The blaze was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW; however, the house was extensively damaged, NSW Police say.

The home was unoccupied at the time and no injuries have been reported to police.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.

As inquiries continue, the fire is being treated as suspicious.
