Police are seeking information from the public following three suspicious fires in close proximity in the Warradale and Somerton Park areas overnight, according to SA Police.
Just after 12.30am on Sunday 5 August, a wheelie bin fire was noticed behind a group of shops at the corner of Diagonal Road and Oaklands Road at Somerton Park. The fire was quickly extinguished with only the wheelie bin damaged.
A short time later a brush fence fire was reported by home owners on Diagonal Road at Warradale. Again the fire was quickly extinguished by the residents before it could take hold and only a small amount of damage was caused.
Then just before 1.30am a third fire was reported at a supermarket on Diagonal Road Warradale, after wooden pallets in the loading bay had been set a light. MFS crews were quick to arrive and the fire was doused before any significant damage was caused.
Police patrols searched the area and checked nearby CCTV but nothing was found.
The three fires are being treated as suspicious and believed to be linked, anyone with information on the incidents including suspicious persons or vehicles in the area at the time of the fires is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
