Suspicious house fire at Grange, SA

Police and fire crews are at the scene of a suspicious house fire at Grange, according to SA Police.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at a Military Road home just before 4pm on Thursday 22 June.

When patrols arrived at the home, they saw smoke billowing from the premises. A man and woman were found outside the property and were not injured.

Fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze but not before substantial damage was done to the home. The neighbouring adjoining home sustained smoke and water damage as a result.

Detectives from Western Adelaide CIB are attending with Fire Cause Investigators but early investigations indicate that the fire was deliberately lit.

Military Road is blocked for northbound traffic and is being diverted down Jetty Street. Please take alternate routes.

Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at http://crimestopperssa.com.au
