Sydenham armed robbery: Police seek info

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a service station in Sydenham last month.

Investigators have been told a man arrived at the service station on Melton Highway on an electric scooter just after 2am on 27 March.

Once inside the store he produced what appeared to be a handgun and made demands for money.

He stole money from the register as well as cigarettes from the cabinet behind the counter then took off on the scooter on Sydenham Road.

The staff were not physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 30-40 years old.

He was wearing a black jacket, pants, gloves, shoes, helmet and was carrying a black backpack.

He was riding a Dualtron Eagle electric scooter.

Investigators have release images and CCTV in the hope someone may recognise him.
