Sydney Ferry Services To Stop For Four Hours on Wednesday

Ferry services operated by Harbour City Ferries (HCF) will stop between 10am and 2pm this Wednesday (31 October) while staff vote on the HCF Maritime Enterprise Agreement (EA) 2018.

Normal services will resume from 2pm in order to meet peak demand.

"Staff will be meeting with their union representatives on Wednesday to discuss the EA and cast their vote," said Fiona Dempster, General Manager Operations at HCF.

"The EA was negotiated over eight months and covers employment terms and conditions offered to staff for the next four years," Ms Dempster said.

"HCF apologises for any inconvenience to the public on Wednesday.

"The EA stop work meeting for a ballot is a long-term agreement with maritime unions and the meeting is timed for the least busy time of the day."
