Take-away food store robbed in Liverpool

Investigations are underway after the armed robbery of a take away food store in Liverpool today, NSW Police say.

About 6.30am (Sunday 3 June 2018), a 31-year-old male employee was preparing food at a

take away food store on Hoxton Park Road, when two men entered the store.

The men, believed to be armed with knives, have threatened the employee and demanded cash.

The men have kicked the male employee to the face, before fleeing on foot into bushland with cash.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were alerted and established a crime scene.

The 31-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor facial injuries.

As inquiries continue, anyone who was in the vicinity, or who has not yet spoken to police is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
