Talent Programs driving gender diversity in Australian sport

The Sport Australia and AIS Talent Program continues to gain momentum with two networking opportunities last week for our Women Executive and Coaching participants.

This networking was just one aspect of the Sport Australia and AIS initiative, which is designed to address an under-representation of women in high performance coaching and executive positions.

AIS CEO Peter Conde and Sport Australia CEO Kate Palmer attended were present to continue their support of participants, in what has been described by many involved as a 'life-changing and transformational program'. The networking allowed participants to share their learnings and experiences from the program with invited industry leaders.

Networks formed at the events raised professional opportunities for all involved.

The programs will wrap up at the end of July, with announcements regarding next round applications coming later in 2019.
