Australia Post has today opened its fifth, next-generation Parcels Post Office in Victoria, delivering faster and more convenient parcel services for local residents and communities across Melbourne's western suburbs.
Located at Shop 8, 15 Christopher Lane, the new Tarneit Parcels offers streamlined, parcels-focused services that blend in-person assistance with convenient self-service options. Customers can send, collect and return parcels more easily, with added flexibility through 24/7 access to secure Parcel Lockers and vending machines stocked with packaging, stamps and other mailing essentials.
Australia Post General Manager, Retail Operations South, Kate Foley, said demand for online shopping continues to increase, driving the need for the new Post Office formats that better support growing communities.
"As Tarneit and surrounding suburbs continue to grow, this new Parcels Post Office is designed to keep pace with demand by providing locals with greater access to postal services, including the convenience of 24/7 self-service with our Parcel Lockers and vending machines. That growing demand is reflected in our latest Annual eCommerce Report, which shows nearby Point Cook was one of Australia's top locations for online shopping by volume in 2025, with Victorians spending $20 billion online last year alone."
Customers can also continue to access postal services at nearby Post Offices, including Tarneit, Werribee Plaza, Hoppers Crossing LPO and Hoppers Crossing Business Centre.
