A woman will face court after she was found in possession of a taser during a traffic stop in Whyalla this morning.
Just before 2am Tuesday 2 December, police stopped a Mitsubishi sedan on Jenkins Avenue after checks showed it was unregistered. Officers spoke with driver and determined that she was unlicensed, having never held a licence.
Patrols subsequently searched the woman and her vehicle where they found a taser in her jumper.
The woman was reported for driving whilst unlicensed, possessing a prohibited weapon and driving unregistered. She will be summonsed to face court early next year.
The taser was seized for further analysis and her vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
