Taskforce Falcon Nabs Three, Recovers Stolen Car

Taskforce Falcon officers have arrested an additional three people overnight and seized a stolen car as part of proactive taskings across Sydney.

Taskforce Falcon is led by State Crime Command, with the NSW Crime Commission, to investigate and suppress violent crime in the Sydney metropolitan area.

About 11.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 4 June 2025), Taskforce Falcon officers were conducting proactive patrols in Lidcombe, when they attempted to stop an allegedly stolen Toyota Hilux.

The two occupants of the car allegedly fled the scene on foot, and after a short foot pursuit, a 14-year-old boy was arrested.

Another vehicle allegedly in convoy with the Toyota Hilux – a Toyota Yaris – was also stopped by police.

During a search of both vehicles, police located and seized five mobile phones and jerry cans of fuel inside.

The occupants of the Toyota Yaris, a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, were arrested.

The three were taken back to Auburn Police Station, where the oldest was charged with take & drive conveyance without consent of owner, accessory before the fact damage property by fire/exp >$15000 and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 5 June 2025).

The 17-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy were charged with take & drive conveyance without consent of owner, accessory before the fact damage property by fire/exp >$15000.

The boy was also charged with breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear in a Children's Court today.

The girl was granted conditional bail to appear in a Children's Court on Wednesday 2 July 2025.
