Taskforce Falcon: Two Charged in Guildford Stabbing

Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged two males over an alleged stabbing in Guildford yesterday.

About 8am yesterday (Tuesday 24 June 2025), emergency services were called to Eve Street in Guildford, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrived to find a 62-year-old man had been stabbed in the leg after being approached by a group of unknown people who then left the scene in a white Subaru.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and the matter was referred to Taskforce Falcon detectives.

Taskforce Falcon is led by State Crime Command, with the NSW Crime Commission, to investigate and suppress violent crime in the Sydney metropolitan area.

About 9.15am, taskforce detectives executed a search warrant in Wentworthville, where they discovered a pile of clothes on fire in the backyard of the property.

A short time later, a vehicle was stopped nearby and two males – aged 22 and 15 – were arrested.

Following extensive canvassing and inquiries, taskforce detectives located the allegedly stolen white Subaru in Granville at about 6pm.

During a search of the vehicle, police located two knives and a baseball bat.

The males were taken to Parramatta Police Station where they were both charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group for the alleged stabbing.

The older man was also wanted by police for allegedly stealing a Volkswagen Polo from Double Bay on Tuesday 27 May 2025.

He was charged with an additional count of drive conveyance taken without consent of owner.

He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 25 June 2025).

The 15-year-old was also wanted by police for allegedly stealing a Range Rover from Condell Park on Tuesday 20 May 2025 and appearing to stage it for further criminal offences.

He was charged with an additional two counts of aggravated break & enter & commit serious indictable offence-people there, dishonestly obtain property by deception and dispose of vessel/part-theft=serious indictable>$5000.

The 15-year-old was refused bail to appear in a children's court today.

Police will allege in court the intended victim of the attack was a relative of the 62-year-old man, who is allegedly affiliated with a high-profile Organised Criminal Network.
