Tasmania Police launches new recruitment campaign

Tasmania Police has today launched its latest recruitment campaign, aimed at encouraging more culturally and linguistically diverse people to join the service.

Education and Training Commander Rob Blackwood said it was important for Tasmania Police to reflect the Tasmanian community.

“Just like the people who make up our community, Tasmania Police officers come from all walks of life, with diverse experiences behind them,” he said.

“This campaign is about further encouraging applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to become police officers, so we can make sure we’re properly reflecting the diverse Tasmanian community we live and work in.”

“As a police officer, your role and the duties you perform are varied and often challenging.”

“Police officers make a difference to the Tasmanian community every day, which makes it a very rewarding career.”

“If you have been thinking about joining Tasmania Police, now is the time to get your application in.”
