Tasmanian businesses are continuing to help keep Tasmanians safe by adopting the Check In TAS app QR process.
More than 38,700 venues have now registered to use the Check In TAS QR code, as a strong safeguard to keep our community safe from a COVID-19 outbreak. As a result, there's been 38,901,308 total check ins across the State.
There is now no minimum timeframe for check in requirements. Everyone aged 16 years or older must check in, no matter how short their visit is to the business.
From 31 July 2021, the range of premises required to use the Check In TAS app expanded and businesses now also require staff to check in on each shift.
Our number one focus remains the health and safety of all Tasmanians which is why it's important that we do everything we can to minimise any risks to the community.
To support businesses as they move to adopt the process, Business Tasmania is developing a range of resources and tools, including a range of new online videos, to educate businesses around QR code placement and how they can best support their customers and patrons.
