Taxi driver robbed at Ingle Farm, SA

Police are currently searching the Ingle Farm area after a taxi driver was robbed after he finished work in the early hours of this morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 5am, the taxi driver was approached in his driveway by two men, who threatened him with a knife or similar and stole a bag containing his earnings, mobile phone, coin purse and house keys.

The two suspects ran off. They are both described as of Caucasian appearance, aged in their early 20s, about 183 cm tall, wearing hoodies and tracksuit pants.

Police started searching the area with the assistance of Police Dog Ben. Using the Find My iPhone app, the stolen phone was found discarded on a nature strip off Bridge Road, near Dulkara Road, a short time later.

The other property remains outstanding and police ask anyone who finds it to contact police.

Anyone who saw the suspects or has information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police recommend the use of apps such as Find My iPhone, which help investigators quickly track down stolen electronics and may act as a deterrent to theft.
