Townsville police are investigating after a taxi driver was robbed at Willows this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 1am the driver was standing beside his cab at a shopping centre located on Thuringowa Drive, Willows when a dark coloured 4WD pulled up.
Three men exited the vehicle and approached the 58-year-old cabbie. They threatened him with a knife before rummaging through his cab and stealing cash and the man’s mobile phone before returning to the 4WD and fleeing.
The driver was not physically harmed and police investigations are continuing.
