Taxi driver robbed, NSW

Police are appealing for information after a taxi driver was robbed in Broken Hill.

About 4.25am (Sunday 13 January 2019), a 60-year-old taxi driver, picked up two men on Creedon Street, when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.

The armed men demanded cash, before fleeing the scene.

The taxi driver complied before fleeing to his depot, where he alerted police.

The taxi driver was not physically injured.

As officers attached to Barrier Police District continue to investigate the incident, they would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged under 30, approximately 172cm-177cm tall, and has a full scruffy beard.

The second man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, also aged under 30, approximately 172cm-177cm tall, clean shaven, of medium build. He was last seen wearing a hooded jumper covering his head.
