A teacher has been charged after allegedly grooming and indecently assaulting students in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

Earlier this month, detectives from State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation following reports an 11-year-old male student had been indecently assaulted by a teacher.

Following extensive investigations, a 29-year-old man was arrested at a home in Bradbury about 11.30am today.

He was charged with ten counts of indecent assault person under 16, three counts of groom/procure child, and aggravated act of indecency.

Police will allege in court the man groomed and indecently assaulted three male students at a primary school in Sydney’s south-west between 2012 and 2015.

The man was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow.

The Child Abuse Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate crimes against children, including sexual assault, physical abuse and serious cases of neglect.

Anyone with concerns about suspected child abuse or exploitation should call Crime Stoppers.
