Teen arrested in Pakenham

Police arrested a teenager in Pakenham earlier today as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of alleged aggravated burglaries and thefts in Melbourne’s south east., Victoria Police say

The 16-year-old Koo Wee Rup boy was interviewed by detectives from Casey Criminal Investigation Unit and charged with over 60 offences.

The alleged offences, which occurred over a 3 week period from 22 February, include:

• Six aggravated burglaries,

• one attempted aggravated burglary,

• nine burglaries,

• 16 thefts,

• 13 thefts of motor vehicle,

• two evade police,

• one drive in a manner dangerous,

• three criminal damages.

The teen appeared before a Children’s court today and has been remanded in custody to appear again at a later date.
