Teen charged after man stabbed, NSW

A teenager will face court later today after an overnight stabbing at Macquarie Fields which has left his brother in hospital, NSW Police say.

About 10.20pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a home on Gimlet Place, following reports a man had been injured.

Inquiries revealed the 24-year-old man was injured during an alleged altercation with his sibling.


Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended and a crime scene was established.

After being assessed on site by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, the 24-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The 17-year-old was arrested after he attended Macquarie Fields Police Station. He was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and will appear in a children’s court later today.
