Teen charged following attempted carjackings in Clyde North

A teenage boy has been charged following two alleged attempted carjackings in Clyde North this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a man was getting out of his car on Viewbright Road about 11.30am when he was approached by the teen.

The teen made demands for the victim’s car keys, however the victim refused to hand them over.

He was then allegedly threatened and assaulted before managing to flee.

The 29-year-old Yarraville man received minor injuries.

He then allegedly assaulted a 28-year-old Cranbourne West man who received minor injuries.

Frontline Tactical Unit officers attended and arrested a 16-year-old boy from Clyde North who has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery, two counts of attempted theft of motor vehicle and assault-related offences.
