Following inquiries, police located the allegedly stolen vehicle parked at an address in Macquarie Street, Dubbo. Two people – a 13-year-old boy in the driver's seat and an unknown person nearby – allegedly attempted to flee upon police arrival, with the unknown person evading officers.

Police arrested a 13-year-old boy and took him to Dubbo Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-people there, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, and larceny value less than or equal to $2000.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Friday 2 January 2026).
