A teenager will face court charged over an alleged stabbing in the state's north west overnight.
Just before 1am today (Sunday 14 September 2025), emergency services were called to a motel on Alice Street, Moree, following reports of an alleged stabbing.
Officers attached to New England Police District were told about five individuals allegedly forced entry into a room before they were confronted by a 52-year-old man.
An altercation occurred, during which the man was allegedly stabbed in the torso and arm.
Four of the group fled the scene.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to a hospital in a stable condition.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, and special break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear at children's court today (14 September 2025).
