Teen charged over unlawful use of motor vehicle at Marsden, QLD

Police have charged a teenager after he allegedly stole a car containing an eight-month-old baby from a home at Marsden last week., Queensland Police say

It will be alleged that around 4.50pm on Saturday September 8, the teen stole a vehicle from an address on Prestige Drive while the owner had momentarily parked the vehicle.

A short time later the baby boy was located by a member of the public on Gilmore Road, still in his baby seat.

The baby was unharmed and reunited with his parents after being checked over by paramedics.

Today, Detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy of no fixed address at Fortitude Valley.

The boy has now been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of endangering a child by exposure, four counts of stealing, one count of fraud and one count of unlicensed driving.

The boy will be dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
