Teen charged, two males hurt in Bankstown brawl

A teenager has been charged and two others have been injured after a brawl in Bankstown this morning.

Just before 1.30am tomorrow, emergency services were called to Restwell Street, Bankstown following reports of a brawl, involving approximately two dozen people.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics treated a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy for head injuries. Both were taken to Liverpool Hospital and remain in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command attended the scene and commenced an investigation.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and taken to Bankstown Police Station. He was charged with affray and breach of bail, NSW Police say.

The teenager is expected to appear in a children’s court later today.

At this stage of inquiries, the reason for the fight is unclear.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
