Teen charged with armed robbery in Fairfield

A teen has been charged and investigations continue following an armed robbery in Fairfield yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.30pm today, a 15-year-old teen became involved in an argument with two other teens on the corner of Dale Street and Vine Street.

One of the two teens allegedly produced a knife and robbed the 15-year-old of a watch and wallet, before they both ran off towards Fairfield Railway Station.

The victim contacted police who arrested one of the teens nearby. A search of the teen allegedly located the watch and wallet.

The 15-year-old teen was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon in company.

He was refused bail and will appear at a children’s court tomorrow.

Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact Fairfield Police or Crime Stoppers.
