Teen Critical After Train Track Fall in Caringbah

A teenager has been seriously injured after falling from a train in Sydney's south.

About 6pm yesterday (Monday 29 September 2025), police were called to Caringbah Railway Station following reports a person had fallen onto the tracks.

Officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and were told a 13-year-old boy had fallen off the back of a train onto the tracks.

Police and Fire and Rescue NSW officers found the boy in the rail corridor between the Woolooware and Caringbah platforms.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious head and arm injuries before being taken to Sydney Children's Hospital for further treatment.

The teenager remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Two other boys – aged 12 and 13 – are assisting police with their inquiries.

Police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
