Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash in Wetherill Park tonight that’s killed one teenager and injured another, NSW Police say.
About 7.50pm today, emergency services were called to the intersection of Belloc Close and Vidal Street where they located a maroon Toyota Corolla.
A 17-year-old girl, who police believe to be the driver, was located inside the car deceased.
A male and female, who were passengers in the vehicle, have been spoken to by police, and the male was later taken to hospital suffering minor injuries.
A crime scene has been established while further investigations are carried out by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit, and police from Fairfield Local Area Command.
It’s believed the Toyota may have been travelling with another vehicle prior to the crash.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the maroon Toyota Corolla in the Wetherill Park area, near Vidal Street, in the moments leading up to the crash to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
