Teen dies, two injured after single-vehicle crash near Moree, NSW

A teenager has died and two others have been injured after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s north-west this evening, NSW Police say.

About 6.30pm (Wednesday 9 May 2018), emergency services were called to a property near the intersection of the Newell Highway and Lowes Road, Boggabilla (about 113km north of Moree), after reports a car had crashed.

The driver, a 17-year-old boy, died at the scene.

A male and a female passenger, both believed to be in their late teens, were taken to Goondiwindi Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from the New England Police District established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Inquiries are continuing.
