Police have arrested a teenager after a Lamborghini, which was allegedly stolen overnight, crashed in Glen Waverley this afternoon.
It is alleged a group of offenders gained entry into a property on The Esplanade in Maribyrnong about 1.15am.
They allegedly stole a black 2020 Lamborghini Urus wagon and fled the scene.
Officers responded to multiple reports of the vehicle driving erratically in surrounding suburbs this morning, before losing sight of it in Keilor Park.
The Lamborghini continued to evade police throughout the day and was allegedly seen driving recklessly on highways and over footpaths, putting other drivers and pedestrians at risk.
The car was later spotted in Glen Waverley where it allegedly ran a red light and continued at excessive speeds.
Air Wing followed the Lamborghini through several suburbs before it returned to Glen Waverley and drove through a shopping centre car park.
The car then exited the car park and drove around the back of the shopping centre before losing control and crashing into the fence of a property on Myers Avenue about 4.35pm.
There were no injuries.
The driver, a 16-year-old boy from the Croydon area, was arrested at the scene.
He was taken into custody to be interviewed.
Police believe three offenders are outstanding.
