Teenage boy suffers minor burns as units destroyed by fire at Narromine

A teenage boy has been treated for minor burns after a unit complex was destroyed by fire in the state's Orana region this week.

Shortly after 2pm on Wednesday (13 November 2019), emergency services responded to reports of a house fire on Ellengerah Street at Narromine.

On arrival, Fire and Rescue NSW worked to contain the blaze which had engulfed all three units, two of which were vacant at the time.

A 13-year-old boy was taken to Narromine Hospital with minor burns. He was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for further assessment before being released.

Orana Mid Western Police District Criminal Investigators attended and assessed the scene.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
