Teenaged Boy Charged After Stabbing At Terrigal

A teenage boy has been charged over the alleged stabbing of another teen on the Central Coast last night.

About 9.45pm (Friday 21 August 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Painters Lane, Terrigal.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 15-year-old boy for a stab wound before he was taken to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

On scene, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.

About 3pm today (Saturday 22 August 2026), a 15-year-old boy was arrested at Gosford Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court tomorrow (Sunday 23 August 2026).
